Holiday Cottage: The Old Sheaf Store
The holiday cottages of Red House Farm form part of a group of Grade II listed buildings dating from 1760.
The Old Sheaf Store is in the newest section of the barn of Red House Farm having been built around 1830.
To take advantage of wonderful views along the dale and into the Esk Valley, we have put the living area upstairs and the two double bedrooms on the ground floor. To maintain the barn character we have painted walls rather than plastered, used old farm artefacts, polished and put rugs on old boards and when possible, used period furniture.

The living area is open plan with the kitchen.
All the luxuries of modern living, central heating (although we have also added a wood stove), dishwashers, microwaves, wi-fi, etc. Wood is supplied free of charge as is the first £20 of electricity, which is more than sufficient for most of the year - although if you don't use the woodstove in winter you could find yourself using another £10 or so of electricity.
